Rusnano plans no new nanotechnology centers in Russia
MOSCOW, Dec 7 (PRIME) -- Nanotechnology company Rusnano does not plan to launch any new nanotechnology centers in Russia, CEO Anatoly Chubais said on Thursday during an industrial congress.
Currently, Rusnano invests significant sums of money into development of nanotechnologies in different states ranging from China to the U.S., and owns 15 nanotechnology centers in different countries of the world.
“We have decided for ourselves that we will build no new nanotechnology centers. A living center is a combination of personalities, people with unique competences and qualifications, which are ready to engage in this business. If we don’t have a supporting position from the first man of a region, from the governor, it is not even worth starting to work in this region,” Chubais said.
“So we are don’t even plan to increase the number of these nanotechnology centers, there are no more regions in Russia which could have prospects for that. But we will continue working in the 15 centers we have.”
